Memorial Day

Memorial Day was the morning we came home from our camping fail.  We spent the morning cleaning up and feeling fried out from lack of sleep...so we were glad when my parents called to invite us over for a very low-key grill out.  The rest of my family in the area was out of town in various places, so we just had a quiet outdoor picnic at my parent's house.

I promise the rest of us were there.......I just seem to only take pictures of Dave which is something I should probably work on ;)

Then I got Dave in his swimsuit to go out and help water the gardens and play around.  He was very confused as to why he didn't have a diaper on.  I didn't have a swim diaper for him and figured a regular one would blow up like a balloon, and we were just in the backyard, right? 

He kept asking "where diaper??" and pulling at the meshing inside.

My garden is growing! We've been eating some lettuce, green onions, basil and...mmmm cilantro.  I have never had such good cilantro.  Can't wait for everything else to come in!  On the other end I have peppers and a few different tomato plants, some pole beans, some more herbs and for fun, I thought I'd see if I could still grow brocolli in the summer.  Worth a try, right?
