Dave was sent home early from school on Wednesday by the nurse. He started antibiotics Thursday and by Friday was feeling better, but I kept him home from school because his eye still looked pretty bad in the morning.
Thursday, he was miserable and cried almost all day and had two full-blown panic attacks because he couldn't breathe through his nose. It was so sad.
By Friday afternoon, he was feeling much better and was an easy target for boredom. Thank goodness for the "Bat cave" we got him for Christmas. This toy is seriously awesome. (And I wish I was getting paid to say this, but this is just my unbiased opinion) If you're looking for a cool toy for your kiddo...imaginext's batcave or I think they have some others...awesome. Lots of sturdy levers and hatches to open and shut and let the imagination run wild.
And when you're 3 and REALLY bored?....opening and shutting a hatch for an hour with mom peekaboo'ing on the other side may just save you from a horrible tantrum timeout.
Stick that tongue out, kid! Poor puffy eye.
The picture of Dave looking through the purple and colored thing is so fantastic. You can see sparks in his eyes and joy on his face. I literally felt joy just looking at that snapshot.
ReplyDeleteI think Dave and I need to consult and discuss various remedies for panic attacks. I've had a few myself as it seems like my airway has been obstructed with this pregnancy. I'm curious if he has any words of advice? :D
